What is Nútsjesmoar?

__

Nútsjesmoar is the Frisian word for “Peanut Butter.”

How to pronounce it: “NÜ-tshus-smwarr”

(that prolly doesn’t make things any easier eh?)

The Frisians are a group of people from the northernmost province of the Netherlands, Friesland. They have their own language and history that sets them apart from the rest of the Dutch speaking people in Nederland. Some of my ancestors were Frisian.

Why Peanut Butter?

Oh, I dunno. There were a couple years there as a kid where all I would eat was peanut butter, or things with peanut butter on them. And now my family will never let me forget it. Even though I don’t even eat P.B. that much anymore. Well, I guess it just illustrates the stubborn personality I have, and my constant seeking to do things my own way. It’s compulsive. Seriously, I can’t stop it. Read: I need help!

You should read more about Friesland and the Frisians! go to Wikipedia and look it up!
